Payment and Cancellation
We aim to make booking your Moroccan adventure as convenient as possible. We typically accept a variety of payment methods, including:
Credit/Debit Cards: Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted. Please note that a processing fee (usually around 4-5%) may apply for credit/debit card payments, particularly for the remaining balance paid on arrival.
Bank Transfers: This is often a preferred method for larger bookings as it can help reduce processing fees. Please be aware that international bank transfers can take several business days to process.
ÂPayPal: We may offer PayPal for certain bookings, providing a secure online payment option. A processing fee might also apply for PayPal payments.
ÂCash: For the remaining balance of your tour or excursion, especially for private day trips, desert excursions, and activities, we generally accept cash payments in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD), Euros (EUR), US Dollars (USD), or British Pounds (GBP) upon your arrival or on the day of the activity.

Yes, a deposit is typically required to secure your reservation. The deposit amount usually ranges from 20% to 35% of the total trip cost, depending on the type and duration of the excursion or transfer. This deposit confirms your booking and allows us to finalize arrangements. The remaining balance is generally due either a set number of days before your trip (e.g., 15-30 days) or on the day of your arrival/start of the activity.
Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent, taking into account the arrangements we make in advance. The specific refund amount depends on when you cancel:
More than 15-30 days before the start date: You may be eligible for a full refund of your deposit, minus any non-refundable processing fees or administrative charges.
7-14 days before the start date: A partial refund, typically 50% of the total cost, may be offered.
Less than 7 days before the start date: No refund may be issued, as arrangements for your trip will have been finalized and costs incurred.
No-show or early departure: No refund will be provided for no-shows or if you depart earlier than planned.
Please note: For some shorter day trips or shared group activities, the cancellation window might be tighter (e.g., 48 hours for a full refund, or no refund for cancellations within 24 hours). We recommend reviewing the specific cancellation terms outlined in your booking confirmation.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing, ideally via email. Please include your booking reference number and the reason for cancellation. We will confirm receipt of your cancellation request and inform you of any applicable refunds.
In the unlikely event that El Mahir Excursions has to cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, or other force majeure events beyond our control), you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit. We will also do our best to offer you an alternative excursion or transfer if available and suitable. Please note that we are not responsible for any incidental expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking
We will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking dates or itinerary. Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to make any modifications. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees, especially if requested close to the original start date of your trip.
